Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at reception@lclawal.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

 Representation begins after all of the following have occurred:

  • Your Fee Agreement has been signed;
  • Any required retainer has been received; and
  • The Firm has accepted your matter.

 We will contact you whenever there is a significant development in your case, such as a court date, settlement offer, plea offer, ruling, or when we need information or a decision from you.

Please remember that periods of little or no activity are common in many legal matters and do not mean your case has been forgotten.

 Legal matters often involve waiting on courts, opposing counsel, government agencies, insurance companies, or other third parties. During these periods, there may not be any new developments to report.

If there is meaningful activity in your case, we will contact you.

 The best way to communicate with our office is by email.

If you need legal advice or would like to discuss your case in detail, please schedule a Zoom or telephone conference using our online scheduling link or by calling our office.

 If your matter involves an upcoming court appearance, filing deadline, arrest, emergency, or another urgent issue, please call our office immediately and explain the nature of the emergency to our receptionist so that your message can be promptly relayed to Attorney Lee-Constant.

 Notify our office immediately.

It is your responsibility to keep your contact information current so that you receive important notices regarding your case.

If you cannot attend a scheduled meeting, please notify our office as soon as possible so we can reschedule your appointment.

 Family members are welcome to contact our office to request that Attorney Lee-Constant visit you or to relay non-confidential messages.

However, legal advice and confidential case discussions will be communicated directly with you.

 Absolutely. We never want you to feel like you are bothering us. If you have questions or concerns about your case, please contact our office. If your question requires legal advice or a detailed discussion, we may schedule a Zoom or telephone conference so that Attorney Lee-Constant can review your file beforehand and give your matter her full attention.
